When will Armadale Station happen?

The new railway and station opened in March 2011.

Building on the aspirations set out it in the masterplan for Armadale Station, planning consent has been granted for a food-only supermarket, along with 192 houses and a care home, at the northern end of the site. Site preparation for the development of the supermarket and the first phase of housing commenced in May 2011. It is anticipated that Asda, Bellway and Taylor Wimpey will begin to develop their sites during 2011/2012. The development of these early phases will help to provide funding for the latter phases of the development – including the primary school which will provide a community hub for the new residents.
