Phase 1 - Housing and Care Home

The proposals for 192 homes, a 60 bed care home and associated roads, footpaths, landscaping, play area and SUDS (sustainable urban drainage systems) have now been approved by West Lothian Council. Located on land to the west of Station Road, to the north of the Airdrie-Bathgate Railway line, and measuring c. 8.5 hectares (21 acres), this development is expected to create circa.60 permanent and part-time jobs at the care home. This does not include additional jobs which will be created during the construction process.

The site will be built out by housebuilders Bellway Homes and Taylor Wimpey Homes with an anticipated start date of Autumn 2011. Site preparation works commenced in May 2011.
